Calculation Rules

  • Prenatal Leave: 2-4 weeks (optional)
  • Basic Leave: 10-12 weeks postnatal (14 weeks total)
  • Additional Leave: 4 weeks for multiple births or complicated births

Legal Basis

According to Chapter 57 of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance:

  • Must provide a doctor's certificate
  • Must be employed continuously for at least 40 weeks
  • Pay is 80% of normal wages
